McKAY, Ray W., a Representative from Mercer County; born in Jackson Township, Mercer County, Pa., April 30, 1883; graduated, Grove City High School; attended, Grove City College; served, Ordnance Department (World War I); captain, Pennsylvania National Guard; president and general manager, McKay Carriage Company, later McKay Body Works; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1929 term and reelected for 2 consecutive terms thereafter; unsuccessful candidate for reelection to the House for the 1935 term; inspector, Pennsylvania Bureau of Revenue; died, March 8, 1943 in Grove City, Mercer County, Pennsylvania; interred, Woodland Cemetery, Grove City, Mercer County, Pennsylvania.
