McCONNELL, George F., a Representative from Mercer County; born in Jefferson Township, Mercer County, Pa., June 21, 1899; graduated, Mercer High School; attended, Slippery Rock State Teachers College (now Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania); attended, The Pennsylvania State (University) College; graduated, Eckels School of Embalming; undertaker; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1951 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1953 term; died on April 1, 1990 in Pennsylvania.
