JONES, Thomas Humphrey Wentz, a Representative from Montgomery County; born in Norristown, Montgomery County, Pa., May 15, 1916; graduated, Phillips Academy; A.B., Harvard College, 1937; LL.B., Harvard Law School, 1940; served, United States Navy (1942-1945, World War II); attorney-at-law, firm of Christy, Harry, and Jones; Deputy Attorney General, Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General (1947-1950); chair, Norristown Borough Republican Committee (1950-1952); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1951 term and reelected to serve 4 consecutive terms thereafter; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1960); died, March 23, 1995.
