HOFFMAN, Mark William, a Representative from Lehigh County; born, July 17, 1899 in Lynn Township, Lehigh County, Pa.; attended, West Chester State Teachers College (now West Chester University of Pennsylvania); attended, Millersville State Teachers College (now Millersville University of Pennsylvania); attended, Muhlenberg College; private, United States Army (World War I); clerk; potato farmer; elected, sherriff, Lehigh County (1940-1944); elected, treasurer, Lehigh County (1944 -1948); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1949 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1951 term; died, June 14, 1964 in Lynn Township, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania; interred, Ebenezer Union Cemetery, New Tripoli, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania.
