HARTMAN, Dr. Harry Miller, a Representative from Adams County; born in Mt. Joy Township, Adams County, Pa., February 12, 1873; attended, Edgehill Academy; attended, Littlestown and Gettysburg Academy; graduated, Maryland College of Pharmacy, 1898; M.D., University of Maryland Medical College, 1902; medical practitioner; coroner, Adams County (4 years); physician, Adams County Home (12 years); physician, Western Maryland Railroad (12 years); director, Agnes K. and G.W. Hoffman Orphanage (21 years); chief, obstetrical department, Warner Hospital, Gettysburg; physician, Gettysburg Public School (2 years); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat in 1932 and 1934; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1936); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1938); died, January 14, 1953 in Gettysburg, Adams County, Pennsylvania; interred, Evergreen Cemetery, Gettysburg, Adams County, Pennsylvania.
