FLINCHBAUGH, Jacob Melchior, a Representative from York County, born in Windsor Township, York County, Pa., September 1, 1879; graduated, York County Academy; graduated, York Collegiate Institute (now York College of Pennsylvania); public school teacher (13 years); elected, justice of the pace, Windsor Township (2 terms); attorney; Insurer; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to serve the 1923 term; reelected to the House to serve the 1925, 1927, 1931, 1933, 1935 and 1937 terms; appointed, Pennsylvania Commission on Interstate Cooperation (1935-1938); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 1929 and 1939 terms; died, May 30, 1947 in Red Lion, York County, Pennsylvania; interred, Freysville Church Cemetery, Freysville, York County, Pennsylvania.
