DONAHUE, Charles E., a Representative from Clinton County; born, November 28, 1885 in Troutville, Clearfield County, Pa.; attended, Central State Normal School (now Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania); attended, The Pennsylvania State College (now The Pennsylvania State University); first lieutenant, Pennsylvania Cavalry, United States Army (World War I); businessman, retail automobile tires; elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (1918-1922); high school teacher; auditor, Pennsylvania Auditor General's office (1931-1937); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1939 term; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 1941 term; died, April 15, 1968 in Danville, Northampton County, Pennsylvania; interred, Jersey Shore Cemetery, Jersey Shore, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
