COOPER, Richard A., a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, March 9, 1872 in Maryland; Insurance agent; elected, city council, Philadelphia (1907-1920); leader, 7th Ward Republican Committee (1919); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in a Special Election, April 28, 1936 to serve the remaining 1935 term; Sworn-In, May 4, 1936; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House in the 1936 General election; executive, Insurance company; died, October 9, 1956 in West Bradford Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania; interred, Eden Cemetery, Collingdale, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.
