COLE, James Dewey, a Representative from Greene County; born, September 16, 1899 in Arona Borough, Westmoreland County, Pa.; coal miner, Buckeye Coal Company, Nemacolin; senior inspector of mines and quarries, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (1935-1939); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat in 1946 and 1948; appointed, Joint Legislative Committee on Alcoholism (1947-1948); not a candidate for reelection to the House (1950); auditor; died, November 9, 1972 in Brownsville, Fayette County, Pennsylvania; interred, Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg, Greene County, Pennsylvania.
