CADWALADER, Lambert, a Representative from Montgomery County; born in the city of Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, October 11, 1882; attended, Episcopal Academy; graduated, St. Paul’s School, 1901; A.B., Princeton University, 1905; served, Cavalry, United States Army National Guard (7 years); engaged in real estate and investments business; rancher; fruit grower; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1937 term (Sworn-In on December 1, 1936); reelected to the House to serve 6 consecutive terms thereafter; appointed, Pennsylvania World’s Fair Commission (1939-1940); appointed, Joint State Government Commission Sub-Committee for State-Local Highway Financing (1945-1946); appointed, Tax Study Commission (1947-1948); appointed, Joint Legislative Tax Study Committee (1947-1948); not a candidate for reelection to the House (1950); gubernatorial appointee, Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission; died, April 15, 1964 in Bryn Mawr, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania; interred, Church of the Redeemer Episcopal Church Cemetery, Bryn Mawr, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
