BLUMBERG, Arnold Maurice, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, July 16, 1893 in the city of Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa.; graduated, Southern High School, 1910; LL.B., University of Pennsylvania Law School, 1915; served, United States Army (World War I & II); lawyer; leader, 5th Ward Republican Committee; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1921 term and served 7 consecutive terms thereafter; appointed, Special Committee to Select Measures on the Subject of Abating Penalties and Interest on Delinquent Taxes (1935-1936); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1936); Deputy Attorney General, Office of the Attorney General of Pennsylvania (1953-1954); chief deputy sheriff, Philadelphia County; died, April 21,1978 in the city of Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Montefiore Cemetery, Jenkintown, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
