BALLIET, Edgar Joel, a Representative from Northampton County; born in Ballietville, Lehigh County, Pa., March 6, 1889; attended, Perkiomen Seminary; V.M.D., University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine; second lieutenant, Veterinary Corps, United States Army (World War I); civilian veterinarian, British Army (World War I); veterinarian; elected, council, 2nd Ward, Northampton Borough (1930-1934); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1939 term; appointed, Committee to Study Regulations of Milk Control (1939-1940); not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1941 term; veterinarian, Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture; died, September 7, 1950; interred, Neffs Union Cemetery, Neffs, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania.
