MOODY, John Herbert, a Representative from Dauphin County; born, September 28, 1912 in Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pa.; attended, Gettysburg Academy; graduated, Gettysburg College, 1934; graduated, Dickinson School of Law (now Penn State Dickinson Law), 1937; flag secretary, aide to commander, United States Navy (1943-1945, World War II; Bronze Star with Combat “V,” Presidential Unit Citation and Navy Unit Commendation recipient); attorney-at-law; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1953 term and reelected to serve 2 consecutive terms thereafter; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1959 term; died, June 1, 1968 in Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania; interred, Duncannon Presbyterian Cemetery, Duncannon, Perry County, Pennsylvania.
