McLAUGHLIN, Leo J., a Representative from Allegheny County; born, June 28, 1917 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pa.; graduated, Westinghouse High School; attended, University of Pittsburgh; served, Corps of Engineers, United States Army (World War II); property assessor, Allegheny County; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1955 term and reelected to 4 more consecutive terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1964); appointed, chair, Allegheny County Property Assessment Board (1965-1976); died, April 16, 1983 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
