McCORMACK, Thomas J., a Representative from Philadelphia County; born in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa., September 28, 1922; graduated, Roman Catholic High School, 1940; B.S., Temple University, 1949; LL.B., Temple University School of Law, 1952; served, United States Army (1943-1946, World War II); attorney; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1953 term and served 4 consecutive terms thereafter; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1963 term; Assistant District Attorney, Philadelphia; appointed, parliamentarian, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1977- April 3, 1978); elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (April 3, 1978-1978); unsuccessful campaign for reelection, Pennsylvania State Senate (1978); elected, judge, Philadelphia Municipal Court; died, August 18, 1998 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.
