LEIBY, Mary Elizabeth, a Representative from Lehigh County; born, November 20, 1888 in Allentown, Lehigh County, Pa.; Ph.B., Muhlenberg College, 1924; M.A., Columbia University, 1926; school teacher (47 years); member, Women's Democratic Club of Lehigh County; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat in 1954; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1956); died, January 24, 1978 in Allentown, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania; interred, Union-West Cemetery, Allentown, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania.
