LEE, Austin Miller, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa., June 6, 1919; attended, Levering School; attended, Roxborough High School; graduated, Staunton Military Academy, 1936; A.B., College of William and Mary, 1940; LL.B., University of Pennsylvania Law School, 1943; served, aviation, United States Naval Reserves (1943-1951, World War II); lawyer; instructor, Temple University; solicitor, Green Lane Building and Loan Association; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1957 term and reelected to serve 3 consecutive terms thereafter; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1965 term; employed, Republican Caucus, Pennsylvania House of Representatives: executive assistant to the Floor Leader (1978), executive assistant to the Speaker of the House (1979); executive director, Bipartisan Management Committee, Pennsylvania House of Representative (1980-1989); appointed, Pennsylvania State Ethics Commission (1991-2001); died, June 4, 2013 in Lancaster, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania; interred, West Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bala Cynwyd, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
