HAMILTON, Wilbur Hilton, a Representative from Philadelphia; born, July 19, 1909 in Manayunk, Philadelphia County, Pa.; attended, American Institute of Banking; staff sergeant, United States Army (1944-1945, World War II); employed, mortgage and bond business; member, Boardman-Hamilton & Company Insurance; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1951 term and reelected to serve 2 consecutive terms thereafter; resigned from the House on December 31, 1955; elected, city council, Philadelphia (1956-1959); elected, chair, Republican Party, Philadelphia County (1959-1963); died July 22, 1964 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Westminster Cemetery, Bala Cynwyd, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
