GREENWOOD, Ray W., a Representative from Wyoming County; born, February 23, 1886 in Lynn, Susquehanna County, Pa.; graduated, Springville High School; graduated, Williston Seminary, Ma.; graduated, Keuka College, NY; graduated, Renouard’s College of Embalming, NY; sergeant, Pennsylvania National Guard (7 years); operator, furniture store and undertaking establishment (1914-1956); elected, coroner, Wyoming County (2 terms); appointed, sheriff, Wyoming County; elected, delegate, Republican National Convention (1936, 1944); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1941 term and served 7 consecutive terms thereafter; appointed, Joint Legislative Committee on Revision of Vehicle and Tractor Codes (1947-1948); not a candidate for reelection to the House in the 1956 General election; died, March 17, 1961 in Daytona Beach, Volusia County, Florida; interred, Sunnyside Cemetery, Tunkhannock, Wyoming County, Pennsylvania.
