DENNISON, Samuel B., a Representative from Jefferson County; born in Washington Township, Jefferson County, Pa., October 30, 1899; corporal, Calvary, United States Army (1917-1919, World War I); automobile dealer and president, Dennison Brothers, Inc.; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1941 term and served 9 nonconsecutive terms thereafter (1941-1952, 1957-1962); appointed, Commission to Study Highway Laws (1945-1946); appointed, Joint State Government Commission Sub-Committee on Strip Mining (1945-1946); appointed, chair, Joint Legislative Committee on Revision of Vehicle and Tractor Codes (1947-1948); unsuccessful campaigns for reelction to the House (1952, 1954); died while in office, November 24, 1962 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Lakelawn Memorial Park and Mausoleum, Reynoldsville, Jefferson County, Pennsylvania.
