Dent (1968-1978); elected, controller, Westmoreland County (1983-1988); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat in 1988; reelected to 9 consecutive terms thereafter; appointed, Local Government Commission (2001-2008); not a candidate for reelection to the House (2008); professor, “Pennsylvania State Government,” Seton Hill University (2008).
