system that precludes either of the following:
(i) The charging of the primary chamber until the
temperature at the exit of the secondary or last chamber
is established and holding at or above 1400 degrees
Fahrenheit and, after charging, precludes opening the
charge door until the cremation cycle is complete, except
for short periods of time to inspect or reposition the
remains.
(ii) In units that are charged when both chambers
are cold, the firing of the primary chamber burner until
the secondary chamber temperature is established and
holding at or above 1400 degrees Fahrenheit.
(3) The representative or another qualified technician
of the manufacturer shall adjust the burners after the unit
is constructed and before a new unit is first operated and at
other appropriate times such as when the use of an approved
fuel is initiated and when visible emissions are observed.
(1) Gases generated by the combustion in a crematory
incinerator shall be subject to a minimum temperature of 1400
degrees Fahrenheit for a period of not less than one second.
(4) (2) The department shall not require operation of a
crematory incinerator at a temperature greater than specified
in this section.
Section 5. Monitoring.
(a) Requirements.--The temperature at the primary and
secondary or last combustion chamber exit of which a crematory
incinerator is operated shall be continuously monitored and
recorded.
(b) Sensors.--Sensors shall be located in a crematory
incinerator such that flames from the burners do not impinge on
