AN ACT
Designating a portion of Pennsylvania Route 87 U.S. Route 220
along the Sullivan County and Bradford County line as the
Specialist Second Class W.H. T.W. "Doc" Shoemaker, Jr.,
Memorial Highway.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Specialist Second Class W.H. T.W. "Doc" Shoemaker,
Jr., Memorial Highway.
(a) Designation.--The section of Pennsylvania Route 87 U.S.
Route 220 along the Sullivan County and Bradford County line
from segment 540/offset 0000 to segment 590/offset 3246 is
designated the Specialist Second Class W.H. T.W. "Doc"
Shoemaker, Jr., Memorial Highway in honor of Sullivan County
native W.H. T.W. "Doc" Shoemaker, Jr., a World War II veteran
who died on May 2, 2018, after serving his community for nearly
70 years as a veterinarian and community leader.
(b) Signs.--The Department of Transportation shall erect and
maintain appropriate signs displaying the name of the highway to
traffic in both directions on the highway.

Section 2. Effective date.
This act shall take effect in 60 days.
