Short Title:
An Act providing for the licensure of assisted living residences and services, for expansion of publicly funded home-based and community-based assisted living services and for greater information to the public about long-term care options; expanding Medicaid-funded services under the Pennsylvania State plan and through the expansion of home-based and community-based services waivers; establishing a new State-funded program of assisted living services to help consumers bridge to eligibility under Medicaid; eliminating barriers and financial disincentives to receiving home-based and community-based assisted living services; and conferring powers and duties on the Department of Public Welfare, the Department of Health and the Department of Aging.
