Short Title:
An Act providing for the expansion of publicly funded home-based and community-based assisted living services; providing for greater information to the public about long-term care options; expanding access to Medicaid-funded services under the Pennsylvania State plan and through the expansion of home-based and community-based services waivers; establishing a new State-funded program of assisted living services to help consumers bridge to eligibility under Medicaid; eliminating barriers and financial disincentives to receiving home-based and community-based assisted living services; conferring powers and duties on the Department of Public Welfare and the Department of Aging; and making an appropriation.
