TRANSFER OF MONIES IN THIRD CLASS COUNTIES
                  Act of May 22, 1939, P.L. 178, No. 89               Cl. 67
                                  AN ACT

     Authorizing county commissioners in counties of the third class
        to transfer surplus county moneys to the institution
        district, and providing for the expenditure of the moneys so
        transferred for institution district purposes.

        The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     hereby enacts as follows:

        Section 1.  Whenever the current funds of the institution
     district of any county of the third class shall be exhausted,
     the county commissioners of any such county may, at any time
     during the last nine months of the fiscal year, transfer from
     time to time to the account of the institution district, any
     county moneys which, in the opinion of the county commissioners,
     will not be needed during the current fiscal year for general
     county purposes, and the county money, so transferred, shall be
     available for expenditure by the institution district in the
     same manner and for the same purposes as if raised by taxation
     for institution purposes, including the payment of any temporary
     indebtedness of the institution district.
        Section 2.  All acts and parts of acts inconsistent herewith
     are hereby repealed.
        Section 3.  This act shall become effective immediately upon
     final enactment.
