COURT EMPLOYEES, PROVIDING Act of Jun. 1, 1911, P.L. 538, No. 196 Cl. 16 AN ACT To provide for the election of one person to fill the offices of prothonotary, clerk of the court of quarter sessions, and clerk of the court of oyer and terminer, and one other person to fill the offices of register of wills, recorder of deeds, and clerk of the orphans' court, in counties now or hereafter containing over thirty thousand inhabitants, and in which all of said offices are now or may hereafter be held by one person. Section 1. Be it enacted, &c., That in each of the counties of the Commonwealth now or hereafter containing over thirty thousand inhabitants, and in which the offices of prothonotary, clerk of the court of quarter sessions, clerk of the court of oyer and terminer, register of wills, recorder of deeds, and clerk of the orphans' court, are now or may hereafter be held by one person, there shall be elected one person to fill the offices of prothonotary, clerk of the court of quarter sessions, and clerk of the court of oyer and terminer, and one other person to fill the offices of register of wills, recorder of deeds and clerk of the orphans court, at the expiration of the terms of the persons now or at any time hereafter filling and exercising such offices in such counties, and the persons so elected shall hold such offices for the time and under the terms provided by existing laws therefor. |
