FIRST CLASS CITIES AUTHORIZED TO REGULATE EXPLOSIVES

                                  AN ACT

     To authorize and empower the councils of cities of the first
        class to regulate by ordinance the manufacture, storage,
        sale, transportation and use of high explosives, chemicals,
        combustibles, benzine and other petroleum or coal-tar
        products, and all subjects of a similar character.

        Section 1.  Be it enacted, &c., That the councils of cities
     of the first class be and they are hereby authorized and
     empowered to regulate by ordinance the following subjects:
        (One).  The manufacturing, having, keeping, selling, using,
     transporting, and carrying of high explosives.
        (Two).  The manufacture, storage and keeping for sale of
     chemicals and combustibles.
        (Three).  The having, using, storing and keeping of benzine,
     naptha, gasoline, benzole and other petroleum or coal tar
     products, and articles containing the same.
        (Four).  The manufacture, transportation, sale, storage and
     use of acetylene and calcium carbide.
        (Five).  All subjects of a character and nature similar to
     those already enumerated.
        Section 2.  All regulations, by ordinance of the councils of
     cities of the first class, of the subjects mentioned in section
     one of this act, heretofore made and ordained, are hereby
     confirmed and declared to be lawful and within the scope of the
     powers of councils of cities of the first class.
        Section 3.  All laws or parts of laws inconsistent herewith
     be and are hereby repealed.
