COUNTY TAXES, DISCOUNT DATE MAY BE CHANGED Act of Jun. 30, 1885, P.L. 204, No. 168 Cl. 53 AN ACT To empower the county commissioners, in the counties where by present laws the county treasurer collects the taxes, to change the date or dates at which a reduction of said taxes for prompt payment shall cease. Section 1. Commissioners may change date at which reduction shall cease From and after the passage of this act, the county commissioners, in all counties where the county treasurer collects taxes, shall, on petition of at least five hundred taxable inhabitants of said county, have power and authority to change the date or dates at which a reduction for prompt payment shall cease, and the various provisions of the act under which the county treasurer collects the taxes shall go into effect. 1885, June 30, P.L. 204, Sec. 1. Section 2. Change to be fixed before july first of each year The county commissioners shall fix and determine, and give due notice thereof to the county treasurer of the various dates fixed, on or before July first of each year in which a change is made, and such decision and notice shall remain in force from year to year, until it shall again be changed as is hereinbefore provided for in this act. 1885, June 30, P.L. 204, Sec. 2. |
