Subject: Clarifying the role of poll watchers and providing consistency between counties
 
Last session, both chambers of the General Assembly passed HB 1300 to comprehensively reform elections. While comprehensive reforms are necessary, I will be introducing legislation that addresses the issue of clarifying the roll of poll watchers. My legislation would also create a working group with directors of elections to establish best practices and consistency between counties. A final component of the legislation will be to update penalties related to election law infractions.
