Subject: | National Day of Prayer |
In the very near future, I intend to introduce a resolution recognizing May 5th, 2022 as National Day of Prayer. This year marks the 71st Anniversary of this observance. The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held the first Thursday of May, inviting people of all faiths to pray for the nation. It was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress and signed into law by President Harry S Truman. This year’s theme will be “Exalt the Lord Who Has Established Us.” |
