Subject:	Allowing registration plates to be affixed to “pedacycle carriers” (bike racks)

I was recently contacted by constituents and cycling advocates who asked me to introduce legislation as a solution for cyclists who have a bike rack attached to their vehicle that impedes the view of their vehicle’s registration plate.  Therefore, after discussing with PennDOT, I will soon be introducing a simple legislative fix for this problem, which allows the registration plate to be affixed to the “pedacycle carrier” (bike rack) instead of the rear of the vehicle.   I appreciate your consideration of cosponsoring this legislation.
