Subject: Resolution Designating March 8, 2022 as International Women's Day
 
In the near future, I will re-introduce a resolution recognizing "International Women's Day" in the Commonwealth. #BreakTheBias is the 2022 theme for this year's March 8th international celebration. This day promotes the meaningful and significant participation that all women contribute to our society, encourages equitable access to healthcare for all women and girls, and grows the support for policy initiatives that support all women. 

International Women's Day has been observed since the early 1900's, and annually on March 8th, thousands of events are held throughout the world to inspire women and celebrate achievements. This day strives to acknowledge the economic, political, and social achievements of women throughout history and it is my belief that our Commonwealth should join in recognizing these accomplishments and how vital women are to our communities.

I encourage you to join me as a co-sponsor.
