Subject: | Allowing For Proxy Votes with the PASSHE Board of Governors |
In the near future, I will introduce legislation which will allow for the designees of members of the General Assembly on the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) Board of Governors to vote on behalf of the member. Under current law, members of the General Assembly who sit on the PASSHE Board of Governors are permitted to appoint a designee to attend a meeting of the Board and speak on their behalf, though the designee is not permitted to proxy vote for the member. However, other designees, including those representing the Governor do have the ability to proxy vote. My legislation will update this law to bring parity for all elected officials serving on the Board of Governors. Please consider joining me in sponsoring this legislation. |
