MEMORANDUM

Posted: October 20, 2021 11:18 AM
From: Senator Cris Dush
To: All Senate members
Subject: Victims of Communism Memorial Day

Soon, I intend to introduce a resolution that would recognize November 7, 2021 as Victims of Communism Memorial Day.

Over 100 million lives have been lost to the atrocities of communism in the 20th century.

Communism is based on the philosophy of Karl Marx and has proven to be incompatible with the ideals of liberty, prosperity, and preserving a societal value of human life.

Communism makes a false promise of equality, but only delivers human atrocities. Communist regimes have historically held power by restricting the flow of information, limiting civil liberties, and silencing those who spoke out against their injustice.

Please join me in cosponsoring this resolution so that we do not forget the people who died at the hands of communism.
