MEMORANDUM

Posted: March 29, 2021 09:04 AM
From: Senator David G. Argall
To: All Senate members
Subject: Openness and Transparency – Wasted COVID-19 Vaccines

I plan to introduce legislation to address the Governor’s use of a 1955 law that is apparently the basis for refusing to release details on wasted COVID-19 vaccines.

Given the questions related to the Commonwealth’s handing of the pandemic, I believe people have a right to know how vaccinations are being administered – including doses that are wasted.

While nothing in my legislation will provide access to patient identities or personal health information, it will give those who have waited so long and have given so much to help mitigate the public health risks caused by the pandemic reassurance their sacrifice has not been in vain.

Introduced as SB559
