Subject: | National Day of Prayer Resolution |
I intend to introduce a resolution recognizing May 6th, 2021 as National Day of Prayer. This year marks the 70th Anniversary of this observance. The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held the first Thursday of May, inviting people of all faiths to pray for the nation. It was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress and signed into law by President Harry S Truman. This year’s theme will be “Lord Pour Out Your Love, Life, and Liberty.” Please join me in co-sponsoring this resolution. |
