Subject: National Library Week Resolution
 

I will be introducing a resolution recognizing the week of April 19 through 25, 2020, as “National Library Week” in Pennsylvania. This year’s theme is “Find Your Place at the Library.”

Libraries have come a long way since the inception of National Library Week in 1958. What was once a repository of knowledge, mostly through lending books, has now become a place people go to find housing, jobs, homework help, computer assistance, gather for meetings, check out DVDs or even learn a new hobby.

Please join me in recognizing this very important asset to our communities by co-sponsoring this resolution.
