Subject: Medals Honoring Law Enforcement Officers
 
In the near future we will be introducing legislation to create a statewide system of medals to honor the service of our commonwealth’s law enforcement officers.

Despite the extraordinary level of public safety these individuals provide to our communities daily, there is not currently a protocol in place to recognize their acts of bravery, heroism, and dedication. Our legislation will introduce the following three medals: the Blue Star of Valor, the Blue Heart Medal and the Medal of Ultimate Sacrifice, similar to those issued by the United States military.

Please join us in co-sponsoring this legislation to recognize the men and women that protect our citizenry each and every day.
