Subject: “Blue Star Mothers of America Month” in Pennsylvania (May 2019)
 
Please join me in co-sponsoring a resolution designating May 2019 as "Blue Star Mothers of America Month" in Pennsylvania.

The Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc. was founded in 1942 as a patriotic service organization to unite mothers who had sons or daughters in the United States Armed Forces.

This organization is comprised of mothers and stepmothers who have sons or daughters who are currently serving in the United States military or who are honorably discharged veterans. The work of the Blue Star Mothers includes: providing support for active duty service personnel and their families, promoting patriotism and assisting various veterans' organizations.

It is important for us to recognize this organization for their ongoing dedication, sacrifice and hard work on behalf of many active duty service personnel and their families.

Please join me in co-sponsoring this important resolution.
