Subject: National Day of Prayer Resolution
 
I intend to introduce a resolution recognizing May 2nd, 2019 as National Day of Prayer. This year marks the 68th Anniversary of this observance.

The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held the first Thursday of May, inviting people of all faiths to pray for the nation. It was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress, and signed into law by President Harry S Truman.

This years theme will be “Love One Another.”

Please join me in co-sponsoring this resolution.
