MEMORANDUM

Posted: December 20, 2018 02:31 PM
From: Senator John T. Yudichak
To: All Senate members
Subject: Consolidation of Job Training Programs

I am planning to reintroduce legislation (SB 396) that would consolidate the administration of job training programs under the Department of Labor and Industry.

Currently, there are a number of job training programs set forth by state laws that fall under several departments, including the Departments of Community and Economic Development, Education, and Human Services. In an effort to streamline services, my legislation seeks to allow the Department of Labor and Industry to administer these programs in consultation with current oversight agencies.

I hope you’ll join me in sponsoring this important bill. Should have any questions, please contact my office at (717) 787-7105.

Previous co-sponsors include Senators Boscola, Brewster, Costa, Farnese, Hughes, Sabatina, and Tartaglione.
