Subject: Recognizing & Celebrating the Importance of Anthracite Coal
 
Please join us in co-sponsoring a resolution to celebrate the rich history of anthracite coal mining in northeastern Pennsylvania. Specifically, the resolution:
  • Designates the third Saturday in July as “Anthracite Heritage Day” in the Commonwealth
  • Recognizes the 250th anniversary of the first use of anthracite coal as a source of fuel
