Subject: November 2017 as Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month
 
In the near future I will introduce a resolution which will designate November 2017 as Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month in the Commonwealth.

While rare, pancreatic cancer is one of the deadliest cancers in the United States. According to the American Cancer Society around 53,000 people will be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2017, with 43,000 people dying of this awful disease.

It is my hope this resolution will bring awareness to this deadly disease which will result in increased early detection.
