Subject: Condolence Resolution for Dan Rooney
 
I plan to introduce a condolence resolution honoring the life and service of Dan Rooney. As you know, Mr. Rooney, who served as the chairman of the Pittsburgh Steelers, died last Thursday, April 13, 2017. Beyond his contributions as owner of the Steelers franchise, Dan Rooney left a lasting legacy of service to the National Football League, the City of Pittsburgh, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the United States of America, having served as a former US Ambassador to Ireland.

I hope you join me in remembering an iconic Pennsylvanian. If you would like your name to be included on the resolution, please sign on by the close of business on Wednesday, April 19th.
