Subject: Growth Supplement for School Districts
 
I will be re-introducing legislation, SB 458, that will amend the public school code and provide for a growth supplement to school districts for the 2017 - 2018 school year. In many districts throughout the Commonwealth, high growth has put a strain on school districts. This legislation will provide qualifying school districts with supplemental revenue to account for this growth.

In order to qualify for the growth supplement, a school district’s 2017-18 average daily membership must be greater than its’ 2016-2017 average daily membership by three hundred fifty members.
