| Subject: | Allowing Beer Distributors to Sell Wine and Beer by the Growler |
| In the near future, I plan to introduce legislation that will allow existing and licensed beer distributors to sell wine and beer by the growler. While the recent passage of Act 39 of 2016 offered long sought after liquor reform, it did not go far enough to help small business owners achieve continued success in the beer distributor business or to provide added convenience for consumers entering a beer distributor. Wine sales will allow consumers to one stop shop at beer distributors and beer by the growler will give consumers the opportunity to try new products. This legislation will enable our existing beer distributor licensees to expand their businesses and the opportunity to thrive in the beer business long into the future.
