Subject: Public Official and Employee Ethics Act
 
This bill will make the Public Official and Employee Ethics Act cover the board members and all applicable employees of all state-related universities and its affiliates. This bill goes hand-in-hand with the continuing efforts to extend Right to know requirements on all state-related universities. Currently, board members and applicable members of the state-owned universities are covered by and complete such ethics forms as required by the Act.

While we can debate the number and kind of board members and Right to Know regulations, the Ethics Act and the required ethics forms can be completed immediately and are part of the effort of the Legislature to assure openness and transparency in our State-related universities.
