Subject:	Preventing Underage Palcohol Abuse

In the near future I plan to introduce legislation to amend Title 18, Sections 6307, 6308, and 6310.1 to include Powdered Alcohol ("Palcohol") in the prohibited use, transportation, inducement, and sale of alcohol to minors. Palcohol was recently given final approval by the US Trade and Tax Bureau, and is currently available for sale in other jurisdictions and online. Although the Liquor Control Board (PLCB) has publicly stated they will not implement sales in Pennsylvania stores, Palcohol still poses an imminent threat to minors in the Commonwealth so long as remains readily available elsewhere and available to transport here. This legislation will bring the Title 18 in conformity with current PLCB policy.
