Subject:	Joint Payment for Emergency Services

Please join me in co-sponsoring legislation that would require whenever direct payment is made to an insured for a claim covered under a health insurance policy for a service performed by an emergency service organization, the payment shall be made jointly payable to the insured and the emergency service organization. This legislation was cosponsored last session by Senators Browne, Rafferty, Boscola, Greenleaf, Waugh, Mensch, Costa, Solobay, Vulakovich, Ward, Schwank, Washington, Kasunic, Gordner, Alloway, Brubaker, Hutchinson, Baker, McIlhinney and Brewster as Senate Bill 401.
